SOLSTICE: Reflections on Winter Light returns with four new artworks created by MASARY: two projection animations that will transform the historic Bigelow Chapel façade, an installation embedded in Hazel Dell inspired by the life cycle of a star, and an immersive piece along Beech Ave highlighting prominent trees and transforming the landscape into a walkable composition of light and sound. These contemplative works will be complemented by a Thought Artist video which returns to Story Chapel, featuring three new community speakers reflecting on their Winter Solstice practice and connections at Mount Auburn Cemetery. Other returning features include the Candle Lighting with live music, Lantern Walk, Community Message Boards, and hospitality hub. We welcome you into Mount Auburn to experience a world of light during the darkest nights of the year.
