Preservation Demonstration & Tour

Join us for an in-depth look inside the workshop of Mount Auburn’s Preservation department where staff will display and discuss the tools and techniques used to maintain Mount Auburn’s diverse monuments and structures. In honor of Preservation Month have a look at projects in progress, mix and apply mortars and patching materials and discuss the proper cleaning of stone.

Directions to the Preservation Workshop: Take lower Elm Ave and continue on to Western Ave. Park on the right side of the street before reaching the Operations yard. There are visitor parking signs and Mount Auburn staff will be there to check you in.
