Current Projects

Grove Street Pedestrian Entrances

Project Start: April 2025

Based upon the success of the four pedestrian entrances added to our Mount Auburn Street perimeter in 2024, the Cemetery installed two additional pedestrian entrances along our Grove Street perimeter in 2025--one at southwestern corner of the Cemetery, off of Story Road and the other at the eastern end of Pheasant Path. For the next two weeks, we are finishing the plantings and installing the irrigation systems at both gates.

Story Chapel Columbarium

Project Start: Week of June 28, 2025

We’re making improvements to the columbarium windows this fall. Temporary coverings will be in place during this work. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Families can still access the Columbarium during the construction.  

Birch Gardens Turf Restoration

Project Start: Week of September 15, 2025

The turf at Birch Gardens is being restored and will be roped off until mod-October, but will still be accessible to pedestrians.
