Project Start: April 2025

Based upon the success of the four pedestrian entrances added to our Mount Auburn Street perimeter in 2024, the Cemetery will install two additional pedestrian entrances along our Grove Street perimeter in 2025. One of these new entrances will be installed in the southwestern corner of the Cemetery, off of Story Road and the other will be installed in the Meadow at the eastern end of Pheasant Path in late July. These pedestrian entrance gates are being thoughtfully designed with accessible pathways and will feature new planting areas that will bolster the thousands of plants added to our landscape annually. Construction is anticipated to be completed by the end of summer. Walking access to all graves will be maintained throughout the project, but some roads may be closed to vehicles. Temporary signage will assist visitors with alternate parking and driving routes during any construction-related road closures.

Project Start: Week of June 23, 2025

In late spring or early summer, we will begin repairing and improving the walkways at Willow Court Crypts. This work will be completed separately from the nearby pedestrian entrance project but is also expected to finish by the end of summer. We plan to stage this work in a way that limits the amount of time access to each section of the Crypts is impacted and construction signage posted in advance will keep families and visitors informed about the scheduled work so that visitation can be planned accordingly.

We will be repairing the walkways in phases. For your safety, each section will be restricted during its respective construction phase.

Phases 1, 2 & 3 have been completed and construction moves on to Phase 4 on September 2nd.

Project Start: Week of June 28, 2025

Starting Tuesday, July 29th, the Columbarium Niche begins. This project will create new Niches that will be installed beneath the four alcove windows.

Families can still access the Columbarium during the construction.

Project Start: Week of September 10, 2025

Starting on Wednesday, September 10th, work will begin on adding a new concrete walkway to Caroline's Path near Story Chapel and Indian Ridge. The project is estimated to wrap up by the third week of September.

Project Start: Week of August 18, 2025

Sparrow, Cardinal, and Hummingbird Paths will undergo work starting the week of August 18 to add new foundations for future burial spaces. We anticipate this project will take approximately 6–8 weeks, depending on weather and other factors.
