DESCRIPTION:Join us on Mother’s Day\, Sunday\, May 10\, beginning at 10 AM in Story Chapel. The chapel will be open for quiet reflection and for visitors to learn more about the many facets of Mount Auburn. \nComplimentary tea will be available\, and members of our Cemetery Services team will distribute carnations for placement at a loved one’s grave. A representative from our Membership team will also be on hand with special giveaways\, and our pop up gift shop will be open during the event. Whether you are planning to be at the Cemetery or simply in the neighborhood\, we welcome you to visit.

SUMMARY:Memorial Day Weekend
DESCRIPTION:Join us Memorial Day Weekend as we remember those who died serving in the armed forces. Complimentary Flags are available at the main vehicular entrance while supplies last. Flags are intended to be placed at a grave of a veteran. \nOn Sunday\, May 24\, Bigelow Chapel will be open from 10 AM – 2 PM for quiet reflection and to learn more about the history and architecture of the Chapel and the nearby Sphinx which is a memorial to the Civil War.  There will also be a pop-up gift shop in the glass gathering room. \nOn Saturday\, May 23 and Monday\, May 25\, Story Chapel will be open 9 AM – 4:30 PM for quiet reflection and to learn more about the many facets of Mount Auburn.

DESCRIPTION:Join us on Wednesday\, July 8th\, at 2pm in Story Chapel for a discussion of “The Dante Club” by Matthew Pearl. \nThis month we will discuss The Dante Club By Matthew Pearl (2006).  In this suspenseful novel\, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow\, Oliver Wendell Holmes and James Russell Lowell team up to use their knowledge of Dante’s Inferno to catch a serial killer.  All three men are buried in Mount Auburn. \nEach month\, the Mount Auburn Book Club meets to discuss a selected work related to one of Mount Auburn’s many facets.
