Owl Prowl [Members Only]
This special walk is for Friends of Mount Auburn Members. Join or Renew today!
Just after sunset (5:45) nocturnal wildlife becomes active. Join Bob Stymeist to discover just “whoo” is up and about in Mount Auburn.
We will start out just before sunset and walk toward Consecration Dell. Our chances are not guaranteed but both Great Horned and Eastern Screech Owls have been resident and have successfully nested in the Cemetery in the past. Other possibilities include Barred Owl and maybe we may hear the “peeent” call of the American Woodcock.
Dress warmly and bring a flashlight or head lamp.
You can park inside the Cemetery. The gates will be kept open for the program attendees.
Limited enrollment, pre-registration required.
Bob Stymeist is Bird Observer’s Bird Sightings Compiler and a regular bird walk leader for the Friends of Mount Auburn.
