The Friends of Mount Auburn Cemetery is delighted to have received three grants for a new and critical phase of a long-term habitat restoration initiative designed to create a more sustainable plant community to support the many species of wildlife that inhabit Consecration Dell, an extraordinary natural resource and woodland in the heart of Mount Auburn. A Special Projects Grant of $119,000 from the A. J. & M. D. Ruggiero Memorial Trust, a grant of $10,000 from the Richard Saltonstall Charitable Foundation, and a grant of $5,000 from the Hollis Declan Leverett Memorial Fund, Arnold A. Lundwall and Bank of America, N.A., Co-Trustees, will support this major initiative.

With exact timing somewhat dependent on the length of this winter, the project will begin in the spring of 2016 and updates will be posted here as they happen.
