From Amistad to Brown V. Board of Ed: Mount Auburn’s Supreme Court Justices and Civil Rights Cases

Mount Auburn is home to 12 U.S. and Massachusetts Supreme Court Justices who ruled on some the most important cases in our country’s history, including Amistad,  Roberts v. Boston, Dred Scott, Plessy v. Ferguson, and Brown v. Board of Ed. On this walk led by Volunteer Docent Marilee O’Brien, we’ll visit the graves of these jurists and a few others whose beliefs and determination shaped the lives of generation of Americans.
