DESCRIPTION:Join us for a poetry-focused international concert series with composers Mary Bichner and Christina Goh. \n\n\n\n\n“Rencontres Poétiques: Poetic Encounters” is a poetry-focused international concert series created by composers Mary Bichner [USA] and Christina Goh [France]. The series features musical settings composed by Bichner and Goh for classic poems in both French and English; inspired by the works of Phillis Wheatley\, Ovid\, Edgar Allan Poe\, Benjamin Franklin\, Emily Dickinson\, and more. Each version of the concert is customized to the venue and city in which it is performed\, often with works either hand-selected or newly-composed for the occasion. \nThere will be two performances of Rencontres Poétiques held on Friday\, September 25 and Saturday\, September 26 at 6:00 PM. \n\n\n\n\n\nREGISTER HERE>>\nExperience a deeper connection to Mount Auburn Cemetery with free or discounted access to all our public programs and special events by joining the Friends of Mount Auburn. Refund policies for special events will be listed directly on their event page. Exchanges are only applicable to events with multiple occurrences.
