And while he isn’t buried in Mount Auburn Cemetery\, he was well acquainted with many of the literary and political figures who are. \nJoin Concord historian Richard Smith for a presentation about Henry Thoreau and some of his famous friends. The “Hermit of Walden Pond” wasn’t such a hermit after all. Longfellow\, Charles Sumner and Margaret Fuller are just some of the notable figures who are buried here that Thoreau knew and associated with.
