SUMMARY:Cemetery Symbolism Walking Tour
DESCRIPTION:Every gravestone tells a story—if you know how to read it.\n\n\n\n\n\nStep into the rich visual language of the Victorian-era cemetery and uncover the meanings hidden in Mount Auburn’s landscape that shaped 19th-century memorial art and mourning culture. \nTogether\, we’ll examine how changing attitudes toward death\, remembrance\, religion\, and nature influenced the design of monuments and landscapes in America’s garden cemeteries.
