Poets Who Defined America
Buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery are 19th and 20th century New England Poets whose poetry illuminated America’s identity, values and path. In this walk with Volunteer Docent Rosemarie Smurzynski we will engage the lives and works of generations of Lowells, James, Maria and Amy; Henry Wadsworth Longfellow; Oliver Wendell Holmes Sr; John Ciardi; Robert Creeley and others.
