Photographing Trees at Mount Auburn: A Magical Adventure
The horticulture collection of Mount Auburn Cemetery contains more than 5,000 trees, some possibly dating back at least 180 years. These trees represent more than 600 different types, making the Cemetery an arboretum of national importance. Join Helen Abrams, docent and photographer, on a visit to some of our most unusual trees and use your camera to enter into a closer relationship with these miracles of nature. Picking up the camera makes you really see.The observations you make on a particular day, in particular light, in particular weather through the lens of your particular eyes will never be replicated by another. Once you meet a tree that speaks to you, your return visits through all seasons will reward your senses and artistic soul. Bring your camera and join us to find your own special trees to observe and cherish forever.
