Built just outside of Paris in 1804, Père Lachaise Cemetery has become home to many of the most esteemed names in the world. Join Docent Carol Harper in Story Chapel for an engaging slide show to visit the graves of, among others, Marcel Marceau, Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas, Jim Morrison, Richard Wright, Chopin, Isadora Duncan, Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, and Modigliani. See some of the fabulous statuary – both tragic and humorous – as well as the endless array of family chapels and the Columbarium.

This program was originally scheduled for February 8 but was rescheduled due to a snowstorm.

Funding for programs has been provided in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
