Mount Auburn Urban Ecosystem Project Showcase
For the past two years, Mount Auburn Cemetery has partnered with Lesley University on a series of biodiversity research and education studies throughout our 175-acre urban refuge. Join us for summary presentations by Lesley faculty members on their work at Mount Auburn, including data collection on various species of invertebrates, pollinators, and bats, as well as the development of new educational materials and programs to engage the public and promote STEAM learning. Featuring presentations in Bigelow Chapel (5:00 p.m.) and a reception with opportunities to chat with the researchers on their findings (6:15 p.m.). Free and open to the public.
Experience a deeper connection to Mount Auburn Cemetery with free access to all our public programs and discounts on special events by joining the Friends of Mount Auburn. Our robust roster of programs each year is made possible through your generous support.
Funding for programs has been provided in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
