In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombing, the needs of the injured and the work of law enforcement were the natural priority of our community. But as the immediate crisis of last month’s bombing begins to subside for most of us, the longer-term emotional and psychological impact of those events may begin to take a toll.

Join us in Story Chapel for an hour-long exploration into dealing with trauma following tragedy. Wynne Meyer, LMHC, and Cary Meyer, PsyD, of Meyer Psychology, LLC, will cover a variety of topics, ranging from the Boston Marathon bombings to sudden loss, including:

  • behavioral, psychological, and physical responses to stress
  • how to talk to children about traumatic events
  • self-care and moving forward

There will be an opportunity for questions, comments, and discussion following the presentation.

This is a free event.

Light refreshments will be served at the conclusion of the program.

Preregistration appreciated.
