Conventional Casket Graves
Conventional casket graves accommodate two caskets, provided the first is buried extra deep, within a concrete liner. Conventional casket graves may also be used for the burial of cremated remains. Memorialization options range from inscription rights on shared tablets to rights to erect a private memorial.

Meadow Road, Goldfinch Path, and Hummingbird Path
Goldfinch and Hummingbird paths are located in the bright, cheerful Meadow area near the Grove Street entrance. Large mature trees are interspersed with flowering shrubs and decorative plantings. A single grave in this area allow for the burial of 2 caskets and the installation of one private lawn marker.

Fir Avenue & Verbena Path
Victorian monuments and curbed and fenced lots give the Fir Ave and Verbena Path area its classic Mount Auburn character, while the nearby monument to abolitionist Reverend Charles Turner Torrey speaks to the depth of its history. In this area, single casket graves (each accommodating two caskets) allow for the installation of a private lawn marker.

Lime Avenue & Evergreen Path
Towering oaks and flowering dogwoods define the Lime Avenue & Evergreen Path area. Tucked in a circle adjacent to Halcyon Lake, the area features a variety of single casket graves, each accommodating two casket burials and the installation of one private lawn marker.

Crystal Avenue
Crystal Avenue lies halfway up the slope between Willow Pond and Washington Tower. The area features a mix of historic and modern monuments, and its exuberant witch hazels are among the first plants to flower in the early spring, while nearby oaks and maples provide spectacular fall color. A single grave in this area allows for the burial of 2 caskets and the installation of one private lawn marker.

*What does the purchase price include?
Purchase of a burial space includes right of burial, perpetual care of turf or plantings around the grave in accordance with its location, and associated inscription or monumentation rights. Not included in the purchase of space are the fees for the interment of a casket, natural burial, or cremated remains; and depending on the type of space purchased, the fees for inscription on a shared memorial or fees for the setting of a private marker. Please note that Mount Auburn does not sell private markers.
Annual care or perpetual care of additional plantings may be allowed in some areas at an additional cost, and we also offer perpetual care of monuments.
