An Ice Age Tour of Mount Auburn’s Landscape – a family friendly program

March 1, 2015

The Boston area was buried under glacial ice for thousands of years, and Mount Auburn’s unique landscape preserves wonderful remnants of this icy past. On this walk with Volunteer Docent Robin Hazard Ray we will explore dramatic glacial landforms—kames, kettle ponds, and an esker—that have been lost to development and mining elsewhere in our area. Suitable for ages 6 and up.  Registration Required.

Fee: Members: $5 per family / Nonmembers: $10 per family

Funding for programs has been provided in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
