Make Music Boston: “Be It Still a Reflection” Ensemble

Join us at Mount Auburn Cemetery for a celebration of International Make Music Day!

Two site-inspired ensemble pieces, each paired with one the Cemetery’s bodies of water will take place on June 21st.

5PM: Dean Rosenthal “Stones/Water/Time/Breath”, a participatory meditative piece for stones and water, to take place at Auburn Lake, along Oxalis Path. http://www.stonespiece.com/

6PM: “Flutes/Steps/Echo/Perch” for flute ensemble, by Matt Samolis. This piece will take place at Consecration Dell. The flutists will be positioned all around the pond, and the audience is free to listen/observe from any nearby location.

Make Music Boston is the local iteration of a free celebration of music that takes place around the world on June 21st. Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 750 cities in 120 countries. http://www.makemusicday.org/about/north-america/
